We asked Foodfolk Australia's Managing Director, Salim Hazife, what he thinks about working with Omnevo for the Virgin Australia project.

My name is Salim Hazife and I'm the Managing Director of Food Folk Australia. We're a family-owned and operated Airline catering business and been in operation Perth Airport for over 25 years.
Part of our tender for Virgin Australia we were tasked with searching for Innovative retail providers. Through our industry contacts we found Omnevo and by looking into the company we found that their technology their infrastructure all their back-end was so far ahead of anything else in the market it was really refreshing to see a business that was putting e-commerce and the customer first and not just purely supplying a device to sell an item on-board an aircraft.
We could really see how our ethics and theirs aligned from the start of the implementation and even at the scoping phase, it was really a great process where, they really listened to the customer, they understood what they were looking for, and were able to marry up their technology with where Virgin was going in the future.
The operator interface is really easy to use the team downstairs when they're loading the carts can put in the data direct from the flight as well as dispatch those flights and when they need to make a change it's really simple for them to go into the back-end and make changes on registrations configurations etc..
From the pre-purchase to on the flight to after the flight Omnevo really looked at this as the whole end to-end experience. This is why I think it's fantastic for airlines going forward.
